Carnival of Souls (1962) is one of my favourite films, so I've seen it lots of times. Up until yesterday, however, I hadn't seen the colorized version, from which this screenshot is taken. The finished product reminds me of the makeup morticians apply to corpses.
Who thought that colourising this was a good idea?! Why can’t people just leave things alone? I suppose we’ll have (another) remake soon with some kind of ridiculous back story which leads inevitably to Mary surviving her encounter with Saltair Pavilion because she’s a ‘good’ person or something…
